Toyota 7

Toyota 7 made by Ebbro with Ref.: 713.
Active year: 1969
1969 Fuji Can-Am #8 driven by Minoru Kawai 1st OA. This was the only CanAm race that was done outside of North America.
Toyota/Yamaha 79E-V8cyl 4968cc 600hp at 7800r 5sp 620kg
Toyota 7 represented a significant jump in Japanese motorsport history and proved that Toyota had the ability to successfully race any manufacturer in this highly competitive sport. It also interesting to note the similarities in the shape of the Toyota-7 when compared against the Porsche 908/3

  1. Nice photos! I remember the Can Am and USRRC cars well from when they were being raced. My favorite era is pre-wing cars, just because the lines of the cars were more pure. Also, because tire technology was not very advanced and the cars had little downforce, success was very much because of who was behind the wheel.
